Here she is... the little señorita exhibiting all the grace and passion of the flamenco... ¡Ay!

Ah... and I'd forgotten about the kolobok judges that I'd made.

Attached Image <- Basic judge.

Attached Image <- Judge with gavel.

Attached Image <- Judge wearing glasses. (I'm not completely happy with it.)

Attached Image <- Judge wearing glasses but also with a moustache. (It's not very clear. This doesn't satisfy me.)

Attached Image <- This is a reworking of an existing design.

Thank you, Reny!

The "smoke coming out of his/her ears" kolobok was created as a result of a comment by someone whom I know from another forum. I thought "What a great idea for a kolobok".

I'm currently working on a flamenco kolobok. The hand movements are incredibly difficult to make. I wanted to include the "flores" hand movements, but making the hands look right does not seem possible unless the hands are slightly - just slightly - too large in my opinion. I think it's coming along... but it's taking longer than I'd expected.

This is inspired by/a reworking of an emoticon that I found...

I don't know who the author was. The original was not a kolobok (I think) although it seemed to have been made by someone who was at least partially trying for the kolobok look.

I've changed it considerably. The scenario is an appointment with the doctor for a proctology exam.

Merci... I'm glad you like them.

Here is a little kolobok girl who is gradually becoming more and more exasperated, until finally she's so annoyed that steam is coming out of her ears.

Brad, your pinwheel kolobok is charming and beautifully done.

(I also like your chicken dance kolobok very much.)

I think I will create a Spanish flamenco dancer.

In preparation for that, here is the Spanish girl kolobok wearing a mantilla:

I like the freckle-faced boy myself, as well!

(He's so cheeky; I can imagine that he is just the sort of boy to play tricks on people, and get into a bit of trouble.)

Here are two new koloboks pushing a wheelbarrow - a boy version and a girl version.

Thanks, Reny. Like you, I am not fond of spiders - not one little bit. When I was working on those spider koloboks draft ideas, I looked at photos of spiders to check details... and ugh! There is nothing I enjoy less than looking at photos of spiders. Ugh, ugh, ugh!

That's one reason why I would prefer to have the kolobok spider in yellow kolobok colour, so that it would still have some of the kolobok cuteness factor rather than spider disgusting factor.

I am thinking of a Miss Muppet kolobok scene, and in preparation for that, of course I'll have to have a kolobok spider.

I've been stuck for a while... A boy kolobok movie star just did not work at all; it looked silly. So I've abandoned it for now, and instead ...

The koloboks can have all sorts of jobs. This particular kolobok was "discovered" while auditioning and starred in a film, and became a glamorous movie star!

How often do koloboks need to eat? In case they're feeling hungry, here is a kolobok heating up his lasagne in the microwave.

Sometimes those little koloboks feel the spirit of adventure take hold of them. They want to go off into the wide blue yonder, seeking out thrills and excitement.

I couldn't resist answering the kolobok's call for adventure, and gave this kolobok a jetpack.

BradLee, I do not mind suggestions at all. Sometimes they give another perspective, or added weight to something, and I'm very conscious of not being a gifted artist and having had to learn kolobok-making from scratch by examining other people's koloboks in detail, sometimes frame by frame.

My koloboks are done pixel by pixel in close-up, then reducing them down to 100% again to examine them anxiously (to see if what worked in zoom works in the correct size), zooming in because almost always it does NOT look the way I want it to, and so on. It can be frustrating when the little kolobok or its accoutrements look muddy or unclear at 100%, and I have to play around with the colours or amount of detail or any of a number of factors.

With the card koloboks, I have a grey shadow line (single pixel border, #DBDBDB) and rounded edges on the right and lower sides of the cards, to give the definition that I hoped would be just enough to stop the cards from disappearing against light backgrounds. I think it works, but if it turns out not to, I would reluctantly change it. (I wanted just that subtle definition!)

Thank you re the boy and girl kolobok with slings. (I used the memory of my own arm in a sling as the mental model.)

Re the Laughing Clowns - oh rats. I think you may be right. Another person has insisted that the neck movement doesn't go far enough, even though I tried to base my kolobok version on this video (especially from 16 seconds in). I am going to increase the movement to 180°. Thanks for the honest feedback!

curtsey.gif Thank you, Reny. These were amazing to work on; the court cards in particular (K, Q, J) took a great deal of time and many moments of frustration to get the colours and details to look right at 100%.
