Pretty cool! Looks like an IKEA ad but that's not a Dutch company I don't think. I work for a Dutch company - am off today and Monday but if nobody figures it out, will ask my peeps at work Tuesday and report back.

Speaking of Dutch... we fly VP levels and up... first class always on their business trips. (everyone else has to find the dirt cheapest fare anywhere and then get 3 levels of approvals!) I know a VP that is flying today, first class, KLM to the Netherlands - will be there for one week .. to the tune of $7800! Can you believe it? I think it's completely obscene to spend that kind of money; 9 hour flight ... but I think I'm getting off topic here.. sorry.. venting. nea.gif

The HEMA is a Dutch department store where you can buy all of the things you see on that particular page. Although I don't live in The Netherlands, when ever I go over there, I will drop into the shop and buy some bits and pieces. This is an online advertisement for their shop. Once the ad is all finished you go to the real website where you can buy stuff. It looks like a bit af the Honda ads we have on the television in England, its the same principle

I could tell it was an advertisement for HEMA, but I wasn't sure exactly what HEMA was.
Whether it was just an online shopping site or a "bricks & mortar" store with online access.
I also kinda wondered if HEMA was a well-established company, or a flashy newcomer (pun intended).

At first, when the cup fell over and the action started to play - I was like, "I didn't do it!"

It's a neat concept.

The HEMA has been around for as long as I can remember, and I am 50. It is a brick and mortar shop (great shop). It has a wikipedia entry

Jeez! I use wikipedia all the time, but never thought look there.
I did a Google for HEMA, but got too many results. unknw.gif Should have added "store" I guess.

Anyway... HEMA sounds pretty much like our Wal-Mart.

Oh Doc you are so right!!!!. I am in Holland at the moment and before I go back to the UK, I will go tpo the HEMA and get some of the best worst in the world.

With worst Doc and I mean sausage. The HEMA does the best smoked sausage in the world, and I cannot wait until tomorrow when I will buy some and I also will buy some to take back to the UK as you can freeze them for a few weeks.

Oooooh... "wurst". As in bratwurst. At least that's how it's spelled here.
Though we sometimes just call them "brats" (pronounced more like broughts).
They're German sausages - right? Can't say as I'm particularly fond of the ones I've eaten.
I can't stand sauerkraut either.
I'm more fond of Italian sausages (with onions and green peppers!)
Or good ol' smoked sausage. smile.gif

pardon.gif Oh, well that's not what I thought at all.

That's very much more like what we simply call "smoked sausage"

My favorite brand is Eckrich.

JC you can forget any brand of smoked sausage. once you've tasted the HEMA worst, you will not like any other. Isn't that true Doc
