I hope you do not mind, Aiwan - I have taken the liberty of producing a girl version of your beautiful rose kolobok which I think someone else converted into a white rose kolobok, if I recall correctly?

(Please delete this if it is too great a liberty.)

I am not very good. I have no graphic ability, just an appreciation for the talent of others. I apologise in advance for any errors in this.

Wrong link - to a faulty version - sorry!

Correct link:

Here is a girl version of the gorgeous "Stop" emoticon. (Again, apologies if I am taking too much of a liberty, and also apologies for the poor quality. I wish I were better at this sort of thing.)

Why should I delete something? Your work is wonderful, and be available to all, if you do not mind. give_rose.gif

I am only too happy to have it available for others!

Спасибо за комплимент. Тем не менее, вы и другие артисты здесь, которые должны быть похвалой.
Ваш "Колобок" смайликов сладко прелесть!

I noticed that several requests had been made for a girl giving sympathy and comfort to another girl. The most touching and beautiful emoticon for empathy must surely be yours, Aiwan, so I have converted it to a girls' version (with all due admiration for the INCREDIBLE amount of work you put into the original, which is utterly beautiful).

I hope that is all right. Some of the pixels are a bit messy in this version, unlike the beautiful clean original. I also made the second girl's smile a little less cheerful, to emphasize that the second girl is not just trying to comfort the first girl, but is also sharing her pain.

Aiwan, I wish I could - but I am very very poor at drawing.

Once, when I was trying to paint a watercolour of a pine tree in our garden, my sister said, "Why are you drawing a green mitten?"

That will give you some idea of my 'talent'...!

If I could, I would create some singing koloboks. One singing Lieder (German art song), one singing opera (not Wagner - Mozart or bel canto or similar!), perhaps a boy+girl singing an operatic duet... From this you might guess I'm an opera singer and am passionate about music. But I know I am not nearly good enough at drawing to create such koloboks.

But perhaps if I work at a few conversions and minor editing, I may gain a bit of confidence...? I don't know. I just think it's not really confidence that is missing, but ability. I can't draw, and I greatly admire those who do have that ability!

I have converted the kolobok of two drinking buddies into a two-captains version. I hope the original creator of the drinking buddies kolobok does not mind.

Do not worry, I'm too far from an artist too. Now about your drunks. Do you notice that one of them raises - lowers his head? But his cocked hat for some reason does not move. Why? acute.gif

Oops.

I suppose I can't get away with claiming his hat is being held in place by an invisible parrot, hmm?

I will have to fix that.

FIXED - the hat is now cocked as the head moves.

( Naughty hat! Do I have to do everything for you? )

Hi, Almirena! I've edited a little your version. I corrected petty unconformity between movements of the head and hat.

Thank you - I am honoured to find the conversions in the gallery!

Here is my attempt at a "fingers crossed" emoticon. The little Kolobok figure is worried (on his own behalf or on someone else's) and is crossing his fingers for good luck.

Fig the birds? I'm lost! It's not an expression with which I'm familiar... Does it mean something about "Haw haw haw, look at that flash hot woman walking by!"?

I can see I've got a bit of work to do on this. The two crossed fingers need to be much more obvious, and the rest of the fingers are bent over so that the contrast between short and long is very clear. And I should have him looking up and squinting/closing his eyes in hopefulness.

This is hard to you... What a challenge!

Yeah! You and Aiwan imply completely different gestures. smile.gif
Aiwan's one is a gesture of contempt but nowadays it often has ironical nature. To "make a fig," slide your thumb between your first two fingers. As I know in UK and USA they don't have such a gesture. For english people a close analogue for this gesture it may be something like "pull a long nose".
