Just thought I'd bring a topic from my forum to Aiwans.
 I'll start. Information Technology officially, PC's to you. I am a Microsoft certified crazy person. I work on everything from laptops and tablets to desktops and servers, scanners to network printers. I work in a large PHARMA company based in Berlin germany but here in the U.S.A. My position at the moment is Senior Level blahblahblah something Technician... It means I'm the "hands-on" guy that everyone is always looking for. (Fortunately my time is split nicely between SLOTCARADDICTS forum, ALLTERRAINRIDERS forum, and KOLOBOKS!  )MGJ OK, who's next????? -------------------- Mr Mayor, formerly known as MarGinJoey.

I am pharmacist and this is my job.
I have a non comercial site with about old silver roman coins, and I am Futbol Club Barcelona fan. Of course Kolobok style smiley fan too.  .

my job is about marketing & communication (worked 20 years in advertising agencies, on the commercial side). Верстальщик. Верстатю всё, что верстается, но как называется моя профессия по-английски, так до сих пор и не понял.
 Lingvo выдал "на гора" слово "imposer", но при попытке объяснить это американцам, сие слово вызвало небольшое замешательство. Пришлось "на пальцах" в меру своего знания английского, объяснять что это за штука, полиграфический процесс производства журнала, газеты или книги,  и тогда все непонятки благополучно разрешились...

Well i work on, service and lease, Video Slot Machines, I'm in charge of 15 gamerooms with about 50 games machines in each, been doing this about 10 yrs and I'm ready to get out of it, its becoming to more of a hassle, started out as a fun job, but not anymore

I used to be a Quality Control agent in a eyecare pharmaceuticals firm. Before that job and after that job I was a United States Postal Worker. I thought the pharmaceuticals job was going to be better than sorting mail, but it was not, so I went back to sorting mail and making lots more money doing that.
But I no longer work because of disability (Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus and Fibromyalgia). Unless you count being a mom which is the hardest job I've EVER had. No days off, no pay and you cannot fire your kids.

I just had one of those translation tools go over Aiwan's posting
 It seems to me, it's no use translating from Russion to German. Russian to English works a bit better.I didn't find out what OBGYN (Dooris) is, though I thought it meant gynaecologist, but it doesn't. Anyone have a clue? Neither did I find out what конструйню means (Snoozer).  I work as a freelance translator and interpreter. I mainly translate technical stuff like user manuals, specifications, workshop manuals etc. I also translate software (but not for Microsoft ). Sometimes the jobs I do are interesting, sometimes they are boring and sometimes they are a pain in the .... neck I also interpret at court but I don't like that very much even though the money for interpreting is much better than for translating. |

I am a Human Resources Advisor in a big teaching hospital in the UK. I deal with employment law and employment relations, sickness, performance and conduct issues etc. I have been doing this for the past 9.5 years and as from 25 June I'm seconded to a different area in the hospital to do some projects and look at training for managers for about six months. I am very much looking forward to it.
