smile.gif Немного попозже... Я сейчас с одного ссервера переезжаю на другой smile.gif И вышел 2.2 инвижен скин под него надо переделать.

smile.gif i will do it a little later. I'm going to move from one server to another. Also Invision got a new 2.2 skin, i'm going to remake the site for it.

Merp. Gulp. Thank you.

I think Aiwan is saying "later", because he is moving to a new server? The online translator didn't know the words ссервера and инвижен скин, but from the context I'd say it's a server move and he's busy with that right now. pardon.gif

In which case, Aiwan, I feel your pain. Been there, done that. It's a hassle.

perhaps have you done it before elsewhere in the forum, but could you give some link to a good russian <> english online translator ? (it's easier for people fluent in these two languages to advice others) wink.gif

Google is testing its own solution. Did you check if it's a good tool ?

наверное, вы сделали это в других форуме но не могли бы Вы дать ссылку на некоторые добрые русский <> английский переводчик онлайн? (что легче людям владеющим этими двумя языками, советы других)

Google проводит испытания своего решения. Вы убедитесь, что это прекрасное средство?

russian language is really hard. Almost each word is independent. Meaning of a word is depending from the ending. that's why we can place words almost in any place of a sentence. autotranslators can't place the words in correct order, they place words in the same way like they were writing. It is impossible for english and makes no sense.

the best online tranlator that i have seen is this one But it is good to tranlate from english to russian, but is not perfect...

Does that mean when we use the translator to go from English to Russian, it makes more sense to you (Russian speakers) than when we try using it to translate from Russian to English? fool.gif

yes , but not always. translators don't understand the things like 'up', 'off','on' after word. for example the phrase 'what's up' won't be translated correctly, this phrase will not makes sense for russian. 'What's up' will be translates like something goes up smile.gif

That stands to reason. The translators interpret things literally. Actually, "what's up" doesn't make any sense in English either unless you know what the phrase as a whole means.

Any time I use an online translator to go from English to another language, I try my best not to use slang expressions or even contractions - I figure it'll give me better results. But I never knew that my messages were probably coming though better than I'd expected.

Thank goodness for mono-lingual dummies like me that you are around to assist with your superior language abilities. Thank You! clapping.gif

And, out of curiosity, there is something else I'm curious about. Many times when I have Russian text translated online, there is recurring a word that is translated as the numeral '4'. Any ideas on what that word is?

I have not upgraded to IPB 2.2 yet. No skins. And afraid of 'bugs'. I like to wait things out a bit.......

Я сам делал скин, что на форуме, поэтому его модернизация почти завершена на 2.2. Осталось кнопки красиво перерисовать в редактор. smile.gif

OK. except "скин" ??

Is the "light beige skin" a modification?

Since you are so skilled at smilies I'm curious if you would ever attempt your own SKIN for the site.... ?

Диль, я что то не пойму о чем он. biggrin.gif Колобков переведу очень скоро на 2.2, тут хаков нет. Скин дня два еще надо будет доделать. Кнопки перерисовать, так как все поменялось и старые кнопки не пойдут, а CSS я уже сделал.

Он спрашивает что-то про скин мой? Не пойму я его...

Aiwan has his own Lite-Biege (Conservative) skin=скин on this site. It's his own work. And he's telling you that he'll soon update site (and his hand-made Conservative skin) to IPB 2.2.x (as soon as they fix IPS bags ot it)

PS: Вань, я все перевела г-ну из Нью-Джерси
